​

I’m a baseball operations professional with eight years of experience in sports industry. I have experience working in baseball operations, communications, and marketing departments. I hold two degrees (Communication & Media Studies and American Culture) from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. I’m currently seeking a full-time, front-office role in professional baseball. 

 

 

 

​LONG STORY

 

Hi! My name is Riann and I’m a baseball operations professional. I’m a Detroit girl through and through, known for my grit and hardworking spirit. I’ve been working in the sports industry since 2018 in communications, marketing, and baseball operations departments. My love for baseball is genetic, having been passed down from my dad. At the root of my love for the game is my interest in human beings. It’s humans’ relationship with sports that led me to pursue my Communication & Media Studies and American Culture degrees. 

 

It’s hard not to feel romantic about the stories baseball tells because at every corner, we’re reminded that it is so much more than just a kid’s game. As a self-proclaimed storyteller, I’m driven to tell the stories that are too often left on the shelf.

 

I’ve already made my Major League debut and have developed the skills in baseball technology systems, baseball research, writing, event planning, and in organizational/administrative areas. Now, I’m working towards securing a full-time roster spot with an MLB club. I’m excited to contribute to a role that combines my passion for baseball with my skills in baseball operations, communications, and storytelling. 

 

 

PURPOSE

 

My purpose in this industry is not only to positively impact the game of baseball, but to uplift the Black community by bridging the gaps that exist in accessibility and storytelling.
